Hi awesome people you! Ryan here. Its been a while since I wrote something on here so I’ve finally found the time to write a goodie. We have been pretty busy recently quoting and cleaning and have been very privileged to see some beautiful houses in some amazing places. We’ve also been hard at it in the background constantly trying to improve our service and the way we run our business. We have a few new things in the works at the moment including an android app with one click scheduling for our customers, but we have also started fundraising.

We wanted to be able to do something different for our customers, to stand out from the rest and add a little fuzzy feeling to our service. We wanted to spread that fuzzy feeling as far as possible and were already applying various discounts and reducing quotes for jobs that came in under time. When the idea to fundraise as a business came, we realised we had an opportunity to do something big. Involving you the customer seemed the best way to support the charitable organisations in the community that you care about.

We then had to decide on how to run it, how much to donate, and who to support. We decided to use a percentage per clean and let the customer choose who it went to. Choosing a percentage could have been the hardest decision because it couldn’t hit us in the pocket too hard (we are a young business) and we knew we may come us against resistance from customers who might think we are charging them for it. We decided on 10% per job and have absolutely not raised our prices.

When it came to choosing the charities, we choose 3 Australian organisations. We tried to vary them and choose reputable causes. After choosing the 3, I contacted them and told them what we wanted to do. They all got on board and after completing the paperwork and obtaining the authority to use their logos, I can now tell you that Reliable Window Cleaning now proudly supports Guide Dogs WA, Swags For Homeless and Starlight Children’s Foundation.

We have had a great response for our customers so far and the little bits we are collecting are quickly adding up. We also have donate buttons and links to their websites on the Fundraising page.

We are interested to hear your opinions on this so the blog is open for comments, just keep them honest and clean but the feedback would be great.

Hi everyone, Ryan here. I wanted to share something with you all that Lauren and I are genuinely super exited about. Something we have been brainstorming over the last couple of days. It all started with an idea.

The best ideas come when you least expect them. Two nights ago I was in the shower, doing my thing when I was hit with an idea so big, in almost blocked the drain. An idea so life changing it not only could but WOULD affect thousands of Perth people per year! An idea so simple it will cost us very little time setting up, while having a large impact on the community directly. So I jumped out of the shower and ran straight to my boss (or I call her “The Boss”). We crunched the numbers, had a vote and it officially became a good idea. An idea that will affect us as a business, you as a customer and the city of Perth as a whole and if you think that statement is big, wait until you see the idea!

Now, for the moment I cant actually tell you what the idea is. We still have a few wrinkles to iron out and a small amount of setting up to.

But I will tell you what I can tell you.

Our prices are not going to change. We will still be using the same quoting formula and the window set sizes are staying the same. So no extra charges, price increases, taxes, “sundries”, levies or fees. And we won’t be slipping in an extra window set or anything else sneaky.

The quality of our work is not going to change. We will be spending the same amount of time on the job, cleaning to the same high standard wearing the same big smiles and delivering the same high customer satisfaction you deserve.

Nothing extra required from you. You don’t need to do anything else, move anything else, supply anything else or help.

No changes to company name or image. We will still be Reliable Window Cleaning with the same logo and colours. Although while we aren’t changing our image, you may view us a bit differently from the rest.
